The Future of Online Poker Rooms
Any fan of poker knows it's only a matter of time before online poker rooms will gain control of current poker culture. Online casinos are taking little by little parts of the gambling world. Nowadays gamblers prefer to gamble from their homes, with full privacy and without all the usual commotion, which usually follows gamblers where ever they're heading to. Many gamblers would prefer to Play online roulette , online baccarat or any other casino game with the use of their computer. That is the future of gambling. Poker is not different but the social attributes of poker are likely to defend it from the growing use of online gambling options.
Gil Ackerson, the newly appointed spokesmen of the Poker Association of America (PAA), has recently published a statement regarding the danger nature that the online poker rooms place upon "the natural way of poker". In his statement Gil has referred to the growing worry of many poker players which find it hard to find poker players to play with: "It seems that poker players are drawn to use computers more and more these days, they are passing out the most important aspect of poker – having a good time with close friends. It's a shame that the genuine nature of poker is lost." The people of the PAA have decided to come out with a new campaign which will "retrieve the lost sons from the online gambling world" as Gil stated.
The campaign would be advertised in TV stations all over North America in sports channels. The commercial will show a poker player beating himself with a Royal Flush and a second later the slogan of the campaign will appear – "Royal Lonely". The PAA hopes that the new campaign will remind millions of poker players the joy of "the real poker game experience".
